My Flash Trash acquired by NFTT Group

August 2, 2016 by PROFESSIONAL JEWELLER

British jewellery e-commerce company My Flash Trash has been acquired for an undisclosed sum by Hong Kong-based NFTT Group.

The brand was founded by young entrepreneur Amber Atherton in 2012 out of her dorm room at school. Since then, the business has grown. Celebrities are often spotted wearing the brand and My Flash Trash’s concession in Top Shop’s flagship has been hugely popular.

The NFTT group currently manufactures jewellery for ASOS, Topshop, H&M and Zara among others.

Speaking on the deal Amber Atherton explains: “This is a strategic union that will enable us to vertically integrate the supply chain and be one step ahead of our competitors with truly re-active manufacturing, better quality products and a diversified costume jewellery range.”

25-year-old Atherton will retain a stake and oversee creative processes and PR in addition to launching a new venture in the social marketing space, Brand Fan Girl.

NFTT group’s founder, Peggy Tang, says: “We admire what Amber and her team have created and we are excited to take My Flash Trash to a new level as a global power jewellery brand.”
